Refining your search
Often, a simple search will produce too many listings to be practical for you to sort through. The phone will issue a message informing you that you must refine your search. If you know any other basic information regarding the person or business you wish to contact, enter this information now and press 'Search' again.
Tips:
- If you enter a few letters in the initials field, the search will return all listings with initials starting with any of the letters you entered.
- Enter the first few letters of a street or suburb name in the Street or Suburb fields if you unsure of spelling.
What do I do if my search doesn't return any listings?
If your search is not returning any results, this may be due to one of several reasons:
- The number you are seeking may be a private number. Private numbers will not appear in any listings.
- Your spelling may be incorrect.
If this doesn't help, try reducing your search parameters by only entering information into the fields marked with a star.
Dialling a number
Numbers may only be dialed from the results produced in the Direct Assist® Mode. To dial a phone number located by the Direct Assist® software first highlight the desired number from the list returned by your search, then select 'Dial'.
